A look at the original Lincoln and how well they receive.
This is the first video of a multi part review of the original President Lincoln 10 meter transceiver. This radio was born from the Uniden 2830 that became available in the United Kingdom back in 1988 at a whopping £349.00 retail. The Lincoln model ran from around 1989 to late 2003. In the last two and a half decades these became the radio of choice with 11 meter operators Worlwide and are still highly regarded to this day, with nice examples highly sought after. I would say it is the most iconic 10 meter radio ever made. In this video I show an early 90's version operating on Amateur Radio frequencies on the 30th March 2014 in the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest organised by CQ magazine in America. Towards the end of the video I tune in to the 11 meter band (where most are used) and RX some Americ...

Uk channels 1-40 and 5kHz VFO steps This isn't a chipswitch. I changed the processor for a PIC and wrote new code. Don't forget to check out the friendly people on the TM1 forum for good natured banter and technical help. http://www.transmission1.co.uk/forum/

Just flicked on the radio around 5pm and found this great little net on UK FM Channel 23.
Police radio transmission of a Lincoln Police Department shootout/standoff in Lincoln, Nebraska; November 29, 2015. A Lincoln Police officer was called into the area of N. 73rd & Adams Streets on reports of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, the officer spotted stolen plates on a parked car in a driveway with two occupants - a person in the drivers seat with felony warrants and another in the passenger seat. As the driver was being arrested, he declared that he was not going to jail and a fight ensued. By then, several other officers had arrived. One of officers was placed into a headlock and beaten pretty badly. The driver eventually pulled out a handgun from his waist and a number of shots were fired - one bullet hitting an officer in the arm and at least another hitting, killing t...
Welcome to the M0OGY Radio and Antenna Review of the President Lincoln II + tranceiver. Whilst this radio is marketed as a dual band Amateur Radio, The vast majority will end up on the 11 meter band. DISCLAIMER......please be aware it is illegal to use this radio on 11 meters and the Citizens' Band Radio frequencies. You do so at your own risk. I always try and show how the radio receives on the band many say they are intended for, to conclude my review. I hope you have enjoyed this three part review and I will carry out further On Air tests when the propagation allows. Please feel free to add your comments below. Best 73, Dave M0OGY, North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom.
Here is another hop back through time to that dark period of "The Assassination of President Lincoln," through the magic microphone of CBS-Radio's, "You Are There." Please give a thumbs up, comment and subscribe!!!!!
Welcome to the M0OGY Radio and Antenna Review of the latest model from President Electronics Groupe. The first Lincoln II was released over two years ago and it soon became apparent that there were some issues ,which prompted factory updates with the V2 and the later V3 which I still own. The original Uniden built Lincoln that was based on the Uniden 2830 that was launched in 1988 was also going to be a very hard act to follow. This latest tranceiver is marketed as an Amateur Radio tranceiver for both the 10 and 12 meter bands. Whilst this radio can be wide band enabled for the 11 meters band it is illegal to do so and is at your own risk. In the second part of this product review I take a look at how it performs "On Air" and compare it to the V3 and other tranceivers. Thanks for watching...
